Why do you think that scenario can't continue? You have areas all over the


country that have different tax rates, be it to promote Colonial Williamsburg near me, subsidize stadium deals, etc. And you have localities that set higher assessments for "high demand" neighborhoods within a county.

You don't provide the details on this three times higher tax rate, but I'm not sure why that would have to stop. The state itself can apparently take over the responsibility for that district, so no reason why they would need to change it. And even if the counties couldn't keep those tax rates in place for some reason, essentially what you're saying is Reedy Creek has been getting services well above and beyond what other county residents have been getting. I guess they could then try to vote and push for higher levels of service for the entire county, or accept what everyone else has been getting (which would only make the costs for that area go down from what they are now, not up as is being suggested).
